Take time to read.  Parents have a huge impact on a child's reading development.  Your child needs you to read to them daily, as well as see you reading books, magazines and newspapers for your own pleasure.

Read Me a Book
find a new book every day, covering adventure, world cultures, history, or just simple flights of imagination for young readers! The books are read aloud, the beautiful illustrations are displayed, and the text is shown to make it easy to follow along.

 TeachersAndFamilies is a website with a listing of books recommended for parents by education professionals.

Children's Literature Web Guide
has links to reading lists and articles about helping your child read.
LiteracyConnections.com
Provides information on reading, tutoring techniques, ESL literacy, and adult literacy.
